The
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software allows
personnel to layout several
different data sets for one geographic location.
For example, a
person could layout all the intermittent streams,
perineal streams, ponds, lakes and farm ground
for a desired geographic
area. As demonstrated in the upper right hand picture,
these individual data sets could then be layered
to formulate one spatial map with all the desired
data included.
