The first stop on the tour was in the Cattle Patch-burn Pasture where different parts of the pasture are burned at different times of the year. The area to the left is an area that was burned on September 10, 2002. The area on the right has not been burned, but will be burned in spring 2003.
The second stop on the tour was in the Bison-fire unit where burning is done in a manner similar to the Cattle Patch-burn Unit. The area in the foreground was burned March 28, 2002 and sericea lespedeza was spot-sprayed on September 16, 2002. The dark patch in the distance was burned September 11, 2002.
The tour broke into discussion groups in the area burned March 28, 2002 and spot sprayed for sericea lespedeza on September 16, 2002.
The next stop, still in the Bison-fire Unit, was to an area burned burned August 28, 2001 (left side of the road) and has not yet had sericea lespedeza sprayed. To the right of road was burned August 23, 2000 and sericea lespedeza was spot sprayed in early August 2001.
