Annuals Trials 2002
The industry as well as consumers need information as to
which cultivar of annuals perform best in Kansas landscapes so
they have an assurance of producing and purchasing plants adapted to gardening conditions.
The performance of these plants will be evaluated for vigor and
floriferousness at the Haysville Center, the Eastern Kansas Research Center in
Olathe, the research stations in Hays and Colby. Some of the plant material to
be included in the study are: celosoa, dianthus, impatiens, petunias, geraniums,
marigolds, salvia, vinca and verbena. For additional information contact Dr. Alan Stevens.
