Chester Peters Recreation Complex
is a large building located on Denison Avenue across from the Veterinary Sciences complex.
the building is surrounded by tennis and handball/racquetball courts, and 20 acres of
lighted playfields for football, soccer, and softball. Currently it has 3 gyms, 16
racquetball/handball /squash courts, combatives room, 2 running tracks, circuit/stretching
area, video lounge, and locker rooms with saunas. Students who wish to use the Natatorium
(in Ahearn Complex) have to go through this office. Cost: no additional cost to students
who have a current KSU ID. However parking permits are required if you use their parking

L.I.F.E. Program
(offered through the Department of Kinesiology)
also has facilities, structured classes and services that can be used by KSU students.
Although it is available fewer hours than the Chester Peters Recreation Complex it is more
conveniently located in the Ahearn Complex, is less crowded, and has more personalized
services. The L.I.F.E. program provides structured programs, two weight rooms, indoor
track, basketball courts, and cardiovascular equipment. The L.I.F.E. program provides
testing for body composition (skinfold, hydrostatic weighing),
cardiovascular fitness, strength and flexibility, exercise and nutrition
evaluation and consultation. Cost per student currently (Jan 1, 2007) is
$20/month, $60/4 months, or
$160/year. Locker and towel fees are additional. Contact the L.I.F.E. program office in

Noontime Yoga is sponsored by the KSU Women's Center (and
is free!). It
is held weekdays noon to 1pm currently in Ahearn 301 (the old dance
studio; top of the north staircase). For more information refer

K-State Student Organizations. KSU has over 300
campus-wide interest groups and organizations that you can join.
Many of these are sports/activity clubs such as aikido, ballroom dance,
bowling, cricket, cycling, karate, lacrosse, rowing, rugby, sailing,
soccer, swimming, taekwondo, tennis, ultimate frisbee, volleyball and

University for Mankind
is
a non-profit community-based education program which provides a nice variety of special
interest courses for a nominal fee. Commonly offered sports/recreation courses include:
swimming, scuba diving, martial arts, dance, golf, and tennis. Many other courses are
