Minors

Undergraduate minors provide students an opportunity to emphasize study in a area outside of their major curriculum. A minor requires completion of at least 15 designated hours of coursework. NUKIN majors have previously minored in Business, Spanish, Leadership Studies, or Women’s Studies, although there are currently about 45 different minors at KSU. If you are interested in a minor refer to the K-State Undergraduate Catalog and contact the specific department for information.

A list of minors available at KSU can be found in the online KSU Catalog at: Programs .  Specific requirements for each minor are listed at each department website.  A few of the more popular ones related to NUKIN student interests are the following:

Business
Journalism and Mass Communications
Food Science and Industry
Modern Languages (e.g. Spanish)
Leadership Studies
Women's Studies

Not a minor, but NUKIN majors might also consider the Health Fitness Instructor subcurriculum in Kinesiology.
