Distance Learning Opportunities

In the future you will probably see more KSU courses offered "by distance" through printed course materials, audiotapes, videotapes, television, TELENET 2, teleconferences (audio and video) and the  Web. Several HN courses and others required for your curriculum are offered this way, making it possible for you to take them off campus (e.g., during the summer).

Distance course offerings vary each semester, but when they are scheduled to be taught they usually are listed in the online KSU Course Schedule as "Z" sections at facility "distance".    You can get more info on these courses on the Division of Continuing Education website or call them at 785-532-5566.

Most HN and HRIMD courses are taught by distance through KSU-s Division of Continuing Education (DCE).  The section HN/HRIMD Distance Courses gives details on how on-campus students enroll in them.

One last word.....an increasing number of other universities are offering web courses online.  Several are available through "EduKan" at:  http://www.edukan.org/ which is a consortium of Barton County, Colby, Dodge City, Garden City, Pratt, and Seward County Community College.

In the past students have also taken distance courses from Kansas City Community College and Johnson County Community College.  If you are interested in taking these courses please check the KSU Transfer website first check to see whether they are listed as equivalent to the K-State ones that you need, or see your advisor.
