Absence notification:

Non-emergency Student Absence Policy. The
student is responsible for contacting his or her instructor(s) when he or she is going to
miss or has missed class.

Emergency Student Absence Policy (serious
illness, or death or serious illness of a close family member, which threatens the
student's academic progress). The student is responsible for contacting the Dean's office
(e.g., Human Ecology, or Arts & Sciences). The College of Human Ecology
(785-532-5500) notifies
instructors and advisers of student absences when requested. Notification does not imply
an "excused absence".
