Released: February 11, 2008 Miller to Join Staff of K-State Research and Extension Phillips-Rooks District Office MANHATTAN, Kan. - Cody Miller joined the staff of the K-State Research and Extension Phillips-Rooks District office as an agriculture and natural resources agent Feb. 3, 2008.
Miller earned a bachelor's degree in animal sciences and industry from Kansas State University. He worked previously for Lala/Townley Farms in Kirwin, Kan., and for Don Hamit Land and Auction Company in Stockton, Kan. Extension agents are jointly employed in a partnership between K-State Research and Extension, headquartered on the Kansas State University campus in Manhattan, and the local county Extension council. Agriculture and natural resources Extension agents provide leadership in their communities by developing and delivering educational programming relative to agriculture-related information including crop and livestock production, environmental stewardship, farm and ranch management, agriculture public policy, and horticulture production. The role of K-State Research and Extension is to encourage the adoption of research-based information to improve the quality of life for Kansans.
