Released: January 12, 2005 Bookless to Join Staff of K-State Research and Extension Wyandotte County Office MANHATTAN, Kan. – Terri Bookless will join the staff of the K-State Research and Extension Wyandotte County office as a family and consumer sciences agent, effective Jan. 16, 2005. Bookless, who is a native of Overland Park, earned her bachelors degree in business administration from Avila University, Kansas City, Mo. Bookless worked previously as a project coordinator for El Centro, Inc.
Extension agents are jointly employed in a partnership between K-State Research and Extension, headquartered on the Kansas State University campus in Manhattan, and the local county Extension council. Family and consumer sciences agents provide leadership in their communities by developing and delivering educational programming relative to family related issues including nutrition, food safety, parenting, financial management, health and safety. The role of K-State Research and Extension is to encourage the adoption of research-based information to improve the quality of life.
