Released: October 21, 2002 Choosing Life Balance Succeeding in the balancing act of life means figuring out what's important and dividing time between these things. Four years ago, K-State Research and Extension initiated the "Choose Life Balance" program to help people release stress by balancing their lives between personal time, work, family and community. Today, that program is alive and well, offering assistance across Kansas with fact sheets, self-study courses, management tips and workshops. But what does it mean for everyday living? K-State family resources specialist Katey Walker says achieving "balance" in life means being more productive and happy. This news package will list a series of articles aimed at helping people choose life balance. A new story will be added every two weeks through the end of December, 2002. For more information on the "Choose Life Balance" program, interested persons also may visit the Website at http://www.oznet.ksu.edu/lifebalance/, or visit the local Extension office. If you have questions or would like to receive electronic copies of this series, please contact Donise Osbourn at 785-532-5806, or dosbourn@oznet.ksu.edu.
