Ray Purdy, President of Home National Bank in Garden City, celebrated his 12th anniversary in working with the KARL Program by serving as Community Seminar host. Ray was one of the founding members of KARL's board, having first served as a member of the review team of agricultural leaders, then serving on the organization's steering committee. Ray became a charter board member and served 2 terms each as treasurer, vice chairman and chairman before completing his 6 years of service as a board member. Since 1996 Ray has demonstrated his dedication to KARL by continuing service strictly as a volunteer. At the completion of the Community Seminar November 9, 2001, Ray Purdy surpassed the milestone of $120,000 raised from regional sponsors in KARL's 12 year history.
