REASONS TO SUPPORT KARL

Representation
Agricultural representation among decision making entities is at an all time low. The KARL Program provides better representation by training new rural leadership -- ethical, honest and motivated individuals qualified to lead through changing and difficult times.

Professionalism
Knowledgeable, Capable, Articulate, Broad-based and Professional -- the KARL program broadens the scope of its participants and those they associate with. The new "professionals" are enabling key non-ag leadership to be more understanding, quicker to analyze, and more accepting of the ag industry's needs.

Community
The KARL Program builds from within to increase viability and strength of small rural communities. Benefits positively affect trade zones, local government, school boards, volunteer groups, etc.

Promotion
The KARL Program frames a progressive, positive direction for the broad-based agricultural industry in the state. The program encourages the promotion of the best points of Kansas agriculture.

Urban Support and Understanding
A strong rural economy benefits every social stratum and business environment in our urban centers. As well, rural people must understand the needs and interests of urban populations to help all Kansans work towards a more favorable, viable economy. KARL makes every attempt to bridge the rural/urban split in the state.

Isolationism is Reduced
By conducting seminars across the state, at our nation's capital, and in other countries, KARL opens the doors and minds of Kansans' to aid in understanding other viewpoints and cultures.

Quality of Life
KARL helps maintain and increase the quality of life in Kansas. In order for our children and grandchildren to experience a life as-good-as or better than our own, we must invest now in people that can help make changes ahead more positive and profitable. KARL provides graduates that are those decisive leaders and educators.

KARL represents what is good, what we all hold dear, about rural Kansas, and Kansas agriculture.
