The overall object of the Vim and Vigor program is to increase participants’ awareness of how lifestyle choices, including diet and safe use of medicines and herbal supplements, promote physical, mental and emotional vitality for older adults. A leader’s guide notebook includes materials to help plan, promote, prepare, conduct and evaluate the program. Scripted presentations with visuals (transparencies/PowerPoint/Corel Presentations slides), along with take-home materials, are the centerpiece components of the leader’s guide notebook. Topics include:

  1. Live Smart! Be Smart! How a Healthy Lifestyle Promotes Mental and Emotional Vitality
  2.  Eat Smart! Be Smart! A "Recipe" For Keeping Your Brain in Shape
  3. Medicine and Herbal Safety – Easing Your Mind
