BRIEF DESCRIPTION (include major objectives)

Feeding Our Youngest is a curriculum written for prospective and new parents and caregivers of infants and toddlers (0-18 months).  It consists of four lessons which may be taught independently or in sequence and a set of twelve newsletters.  The participants will:  1) understand the benefits of breast and bottle feeding, 2) learn the age-specific feeding recommendations for infants and toddlers, 3) learn how to create the best possible feeding environment, 4) learn how to provide a nutritious and safe diet for an infant with food allergies.  These materials are available in both English and Spanish.  Visit the web at : http://www.oznet.ksu.edu/library/fntr2/pk10.pdf
