When Held: Spring semester
Description: Study of the woody and non-woody components of the land
use management systems used in much of the world. Topics will include international
agriculture and forestry covering the interaction of crops, livestock, and woody plants.
The agroforestry concept, classification of systems, practices used worldwide, and the
contribution of agroforestry to local economies of lesser developed countries will be
examined. Two hours lecture a week. Field trip required.
Prerequisites: BIOL 201 or BIOL 210 or HORT 201
