Position title: Extension State Leader, Horticulturist,
Vegetable Crops (9 tenths Extension, 1 tenth Research)
Responsibilities:
Conduct extension programs in commercial vegetable production, management, and handling
with an emphasis on intensive production systems.
Conduct research fresh market vegetables with a special emphasis on local market, fresh
vegetable production. Also, support information needed in the commercial greenhouse
vegetable production area.
Develop and support information for home vegetable gardeners and horticultural industry
suppliers of home vegetable gardening seeds, plants and supplies. Support information
needed in 4-H/youth horticulture programs.
