Position: Teaching and Research - Environmental Stress
Physiology: low temperature stress and molecular biology (7 tenths research, 3 tenths
teaching.)
Responsibilities: Research interests include low temperature
survival and injury in plants with emphasis on understanding cold tolerance, cold
acclimation and injury using whole plant and molecular genetics approaches. Some of the
related areas of research include freezing behavior in plant tissues, cell water relations
at low temperatures and developing cold tolerant plants.
