WORK PROCEDURES

Purpose...

This section explores Lockout/Tagout procedures for protecting employees performing maintenance activities on, in, or around equipment from being injured by unexpected start-up or release of stored energy.  The Hot Work & Confined Space Entry program provides a permitting system for, entering confined spaces to inspect, work, or perform maintenance tasks and performing hot work outside of designated areas. The Animal & Biosafety program provides safe practices for handling livestock to prevent injuries and illnesses to people. The Electrical Procedures program provides safety related work practices and procedures for employees who work on, near, or with electric circuits and equipment.
