2003 Accomplished Conducted chemical safety and hazardous waste inspections in laboratory and farm operations.
2003 Accomplished Conducted a thorough review and update of pesticide safety practices in compliance with EPA’s Worker Protection Standard.
2003 Accomplished Provided pesticide worker protection training to student workers.
2003 Accomplished Incorporated employee safety considerations into the design of a cattle-handling facility at Mound Valley.
2003 Accomplished Provided employee medical surveillance including hearing tests, pulmonary function tests, cholinesterase blood tests, and tetanus vaccines.
2002 Accomplished The department is also midway through a cattle handling facility replacement project in Mound Valley that will improve the safety of employees who work cattle.
