You can see right away the wheat is looking pretty good and it has
really grown. The soil doesnt look as dry as it was on the November 9th
pictures.

Looking closer at the plants, you can see more leaves and tillers than the
last time. Lets pull up a plant and look at the roots. |

You can see this plant has a bunch of tillers now and lots of muddy crown
roots. This plant is in good shape for the winter. Lets wash off the mud so we can
see the crown roots better. |

Now you can see the clean crown roots. With all these roots the plant
should be well anchored so that if cows were grazing the wheat they couldnt pull the
plants out of the ground. |
