Leadership Development

Leadership and citizen involvement are key ingredients in addressing many problems which organizations and communities face today.   The complexity of issues requires people from different perspectives and skills to work together on issues involving their common interests.  Leadership is a process of lifelong learning.

County/district extension councils are becoming more involved in developing leadership capacity through educational programming for communities, organizations, local government, families, consumers, volunteers, 4-H and youth programs, and many other ways.

K-State Research and Extension is committed to continuing education opportunities to enhance skill development in Leadership and Community Development activities.
